Wheelin' Jazz Outgun Phoenix in Shootout

The Neuroworx Wheelin' Jazz opened the Best in the West Shootout with another hard fought victory over the #19 Phoenix Suns. The Suns stayed close throughout the game but were forced into fouling down the stretch. Clutch free throws iced the game, 68-57.

The Suns used their smaller size to speed the game up but the Wheelin' Jazz big men were too much inside. Forward Bret Remington led the way with 18 points followed by Jeff Griffin with 17. Dean Smith and Layne Mangum followed with 8 apiece. The Suns were led by Tom Schroder with 24.

The Wheelin' Jazz welcomed their newest team member on the trip. Andy Gudmundson was able to play 3 minutes in the game taking one shot but missing it. Andy will be a welcome addition to the team.
