We're gearing up for another season. Our funding is still up for grabs as Neuroworx has incurred a lot of financial stress with a move and remodel. We appreciate the efforts of Dale and Jan.
We had a little impromptu party at the Schlappi cabin. I posted a few pics of the event on Facebook. Jeff and Layne provided the Friday night dinner. Jason and Bret cooked up our breakfast. Mike and Rod provided the lunch. We had a great time and renewed our friendships.
Our tournament is coming together. We have commitments from Dallas, Denver, LA Lakers, Phoenix, LA Clippers, and Rancho. We need one more team to fill in the gap. Thanks to Jeff Burley and Salt Lake County Adaptive for hosting this tournament and providing all the transportation and food.
We're excited to move into our new practice facility at Copperview. Salt Lake County is being very good to us. Our practices officially begin Oct 20. We look forward to another successful season with a return trip to the Final Four.

Just a heads up that our good friend Jeff Burley, Salt Lake County's Adaptive Dude, is putting together an Exhibition Game on October 16 with the National Recreation Association. This will be in the Energy Solutions Arena. I have no details yet but will post them when I get more.

Jordan Valley Faculty Wins Exhibition Game
The Neuroworx Wheelin' Jazz made their annual visit to the Jordan Valley School to play an exhibition game against the faculty. The faculty played very well and came away with an 83-78 win. The faculty was spotted 20 points at the beginning but played hard and earned the win.
Bret Remington, Darrell Mauerman, Katie Terry, and Layne Mangum played for the Wheelin' Jazz. It took until the fourth quarter for the Wheelin' Jazz to catch up and take the lead. At that point, the faculty team was awarded 3 points for each shot and 5 points for a three pointer. That was enough to put them over the top for the win.
The goal of this game is to entertain the severely disabled children that attend the school. It's so much fun to see them laugh and have fun. The court is so small that most of the children get an up close and personal experience, sometimes painful but mostly fun. The ball does bounce off some of the kids but they take it and smile.
Thank you to the administration of the school for allowing us the opportunity to come out and have a positive impact in these special lives. We are truly blessed for being there.

EasyRebounds is Working
I haven't said anything for a while about this but we are making a little money on EasyRebounds.com. I received a check for $10.76 today. Add that to the $21 back in December and we're rolling in the dough.
Yeah yeah, I know. $31 gets us one tank of gas in Denver. That's why if you do online shopping, do MORE of it through EasyRebounds.com. And tell all your friends to do the same.
Just go to easyrebounds.com AND SIGN IN! IF YOU DON'T SIGN IN, WE GET NOTHING.
